The Little Huskies Pre-Hockey Programs are designed to develop
inexperienced, but aspiring young hockey players ages 3 to 10
years of age. For many kids this is their first exposure to
ice skating. Our instructors have a great deal of experience
helping kids take that very first stride on skates.
If your child has some skating experience – our initial
evaluation will enable us to place him or her at the appropriate
pre-hockey skill level. We start with Learn-to-Skate Hockey
and move through Pre-Hockey Novice, Intermediate and Advanced.
Once your child enters the Pre-Hockey Program he or she will
have the opportunity to test their skills in “Scooter
– Pond Hockey”. This concept goes back to the earliest
days and purest form of hockey – it’s just fun –
hone your skills, while competing against your friends and classmates.
Advanced players have the opportunity to join our “In-House”
Hockey Teams. Level-3 players are placed on teams which practice
regularly and have a full league schedule at International Ice
Centre.
Rocky Saganiuk is the Director of Youth Hockey Development
for the Huskies and the International Ice Centre. He brings
a wealth of experience as both a player and a coach. But more
importantly, he helps kids learn to love skating and hockey.

“I love working with young, enthusiastic
skaters. Their sense of accomplishment and the smile that accompanies
it is worth a million dollars. And I get to share that experience
with them almost every day.”
